We are on the verge of another T20 World Cup and this time it’s the latest edition of Women’s T20 World Cup. Disney Star is the official broadcaster of this amazing cricketing event and reports say that the ad rates set up by the broadcaster have made some new records.

There is approximately a 10% increase in the rates this season. The Women’s World Cup has always been super interesting to watch, with the last season getting a 44% increase in viewership. This is greater than the edition which took place in 2020 which had  viewership around 192 million.

Indian viewership count also increased by 57% last season as compared to the 2020. Last year India failed to reach the finals but the viewership count of the match was on an all time high. Digital and TV viewership comprised 32.8 million which is expected to increase more this year.

This Mega ICC event has always been special and had some surprise element to it. According to the ICC, last year’s cumulative viewership was 1.39 Billion which is set to increase in a rapid manner this year. The excitement is high as brands are prepping for the perfect spot to showcase their ads and reach the extensive audience.

Brands looking to advertise should get the right slot and lock it as soon as possible since the demand is high but inventory is limited. The broadcaster rates are Rs 2 -3 Lakhs for 10 secs on TV, lead sponsorship is priced at Rs 7 – 8  crore and  associate sponsorship is available at Rs 3 – 5 crore. These rates are not so different from previous editions but have slightly increased as per the viewership count is also expected to rise this season.
