The year 2022 will be the year of cricket. Industry experts are estimating that broadcasters may invest approx Rs 50,000 cr to acquire media rights for properties like IPL, ICC, and BCCI. Currently, the rights to all these three properties belong to Disney owned Star India. (Source- E4M)
Currently, BARC India is working towards a seamless release of individual channel data in the news genre. It intends to start the release from Week 10, 2022. As per the Exchange4Media reporting cycle, the data will be released in the market on 17th March 2022.
BARC has decided not to release the channel-level estimates, be it rolled or unrolled, for the channels in the news genre in the time period of Week 40, 2020-Week 48, 2021. The news channels will also be given an option to opt out or opt-in of receiving the rolled data for the past 13 weeks before the news data is resumed.
