As per TAM AdEx, Shah Rukh Khan was the top celebrity ambassador with an ad volume share of 14% during the ICC T20 WC ’21. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vicky Kaushal followed the list with 7% share each. 

Legends League Cricket has announced its partnership with Sony Pictures Network India for the live telecast of all the matches which is to be played in Jan 2022. Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 channels will also live stream the matches in India, SPN’s OTT platform SonyLIV will also telecast the same.

According to the SMS Marketing report 2021 by VFirst, SMS boosts 14% conversion rate, and is two-fold compared to voice messages, Facebook and email. As per the study, in India there was also a 20% growth in daily commercial SMS traffic post the pandemic. 

OTT platforms which earlier catered to male and urban audience pre-pandemic are now witnessing a huge consumption from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This is a huge opportunity for the brands and advertisers too who seek to target that group of customers. 

Amazon Prime Video will double down their investments on original content in 2022. The platform has experienced a 3X growth in viewing hours in the last 2 years. It also attracted viewership from 99% of India’s pin codes. The OTT platform will also increase content on local languages like Tamil and Telugu.

The INS members reported that there was a decrease of 41.29% in ad revenue in the year 2020. Newspapers in Indian languages dominated the distribution of business by 58.04% whereas English dailies had 40.94% share.

RAM Ratings Week 45’21-Week 48’21:  Fever FM & Radio Mirchi top in Delhi & Mumbai respectively. BIG FM was on the top spot in Bangalore and Radio Mirchi was leading in Kolkata.

BARC top 5 advertisers of the week 51 (18th December – 24th December 2021)  are – Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd, Hindustan Lever Ltd, PONDS INDIA, Cadburys India LTD, Amazon Online India Pvt. Ltd. 

According to BARC weekly data, the following were the top 5 paid TV channels in week 51 (18th December – 24th December 2021) – 

Paid– Sun TV, Star Plus, Star Maa, STAR Utsav, Colors.
